The power elite by C.Wright Mills
Soft Power: The means to success in world politics By Joseph S. Nye
Now these books aren’t rare, but I am hoping to be all share and trade here.

Wed, December 27, 2006 - 8:12 AMLapham’s rules of influence is pretty horrible. If you can find it in a library, you can probably read it in a half hour of standing in the stacks. I think he's trying to be funny (some of his writing in Harpers can be witty or inadvertantly funny), but he rather fails at it.
I'd give you my copy, but it's not worth the postage to Canookistan. -

And yes after forcing myself to go into Chapters I stood for ten minutes skimming through it...not a good book at all.
But I did discover Robert Greens 48 laws of power, and the art of seduction. Both are wonderful books which will surely aid me in my bid for world domination.
